Another Columbian correspondent I was able to put the finger on was twenty-three-year-old Maynard Nelson, a student at the University of Minnesota. It seems that Nelson's chief extra-curricular activity was plastering the campus with posters saying “Kill Jews” and “Dead Niggers Make Good Fertilizer.” Nelson also wrote a letter to Congressman John E. Rankin of Mississippi, commending him on his anti-Negro and anti-Semitic remarks in Congress. Rankin replied:

I cannot tell you how grateful I am for your expressions of confidence; and I need not tell you that I agree thoroughly with every statement you make of your own views on these matters. I assure you that I will stand by my guns and continue to do my best to save America for Americans.
